Stephanie has been deeply involved in animal rescue for over 13 years, driven by her profound passion for helping animals in need. In March 2022, she launched Tailgait Transport & Rescue, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to creating a positive impact.
Beyond volunteering, Stephanie actively rescues animals from high-kill shelters across multiple states, including Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. She devotes her time to weekly volunteering at the local shelter and tirelessly transports dogs to safety, effectively bridging the gap between regions with differing euthanasia rates.
At home, Stephanie's compassion extends to her two cherished dogs, both of whom she rescued from the streets of San Antonio. Socks, a senior Great Dane/pit bull mix, and Peanut, a pit-mix, serve as heartwarming examples of her commitment to providing care and love to animals in need.
Stephanie's commitment goes beyond just engaging in hands-on rescue work; she actively contributes to fundraising efforts as well. As a key member of the Plant Sale and Wine and Whiskers committee, she utilizes her time to increase awareness and support for their cause.
Despite the challenges, Stephanie remains undeterred. She frequently embarks on solo journeys to drive down south and transport dogs to non-kill shelters in the northeast. Through Tailgait Transport & Rescue, Stephanie continues to make a difference in the lives of countless animals.

Since 2007 Kaye has been deeply devoted to animal welfare. Her journey began when she became a volunteer adoption site coordinator for The Homeless Pets Foundation in Marietta, GA. During her tenure until 2011, she facilitated the transition of displaced animals from Cobb County animal control and provided assistance to owned animals throughout the county.
Expanding her advocacy efforts, Kaye volunteered with the Atlanta chapter of the Coalition to Unchain Dogs from 2010 to 2013. In this capacity, she constructed fences for chained dogs, raised public awareness about the detrimental effects of chaining, and facilitated access to free veterinary care for underserved communities.
Recognizing the importance of educating future pet owners, Kaye volunteered from 2010 to 2020, imparting knowledge on animal-related topics within school pet clubs to address pet overpopulation and promote compassionate care.
In 2011, Kaye founded Road Trip Home, rescuing animals from high-kill shelters in Georgia and relocating them to no-kill shelters in northeastern states. She wore multiple hats in this role, including treasurer and foster coordinator.
Following her move to New Hampshire, Kaye remained dedicated to her advocacy role at the Manchester Animal Shelter. Eventually, she joined the Tailgait team with the aim of further expanding her influence.
As a foster parent, Kaye has nurtured and rehabilitated numerous dogs and cats, finding fulfillment in this role alongside her husband and their four dogs: Lady, Penny, Cash, and Lola.
